3D research models and animations
Models and animations of MXene and other layered structures, made for papers, posters and talks.

The problem
Layered materials such as MXene are hard to explain with flat diagrams: the stacking, surface terminations and spacing between sheets are what matter, and they are exactly what a 2D figure hides.
The approach
Structures are built in Blender, then lit, animated and finished in After Effects and Premiere Pro, so the same model can become a still figure, a poster graphic or a short animation for a talk.
The result
Used across the group's papers, conference posters and presentations.
